India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav showed his adorable side post-IPL 2025. The 34-year-old was seen trying to feed cake to a kid during the MCA President Ajinkya Naik’s birthday celebrations on Thursday, June 5. The batter looked dapper in a black T-shirt.
The celebratory event was also attended by Rohit Sharma, who led India to the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Suryakumar Yadav is a fun-loving person and often shares adorable posts with his wife, Devisha Shetty, and his teammates. The Mumbai batter also shares comical clips and Instagram stories with popular Bollywood dialogues.
On the professional front, Yadav will be away from international cricket for around two months, as the Men in Blue's next T20I series begins on August 26, against Bangladesh. Team India will also play two T20I series against Australia (away) and South Africa (at home) later this year.
A look at Suryakumar Yadav's record-breaking IPL 2025 season
Suryakumar Yadav enjoyed a record-breaking IPL 2025 season as he became the first non-opener to cross 700 runs in a season. Yadav amassed 717 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 167.91 and an average of 65.18, including five half-centuries. He surpassed the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) legend, AB de Villiers, who scored 687 runs in IPL 2016 as a non-opener.
With 717, Yadav also eclipsed legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar for most runs for the Mumbai Indians (MI) in an IPL season. Tendulkar amassed 618 runs in the 2010 edition of the T20 league.
In IPL 2025, Suryakumar scored a minimum of 25 runs in all of his 16 outings, going past Kane Williamson and Shubman Gill (13 25+ scores in the 2023 season).
Yadav currently has the third-highest runs for MI in IPL. He has scored 3750 runs in 112 innings. The middle-order batter is only behind Rohit Sharma (6149 in 232 innings) and Kieron Pollard (3915 in 193 innings).
Despite Suryakumar Yadav’s heroics in IPL 2025, MI failed to reach the final. They lost to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by five wickets in Qualifier 2. Meanwhile, RCB beat PBKS in the final to lift their maiden IPL title.
