Over the last few days, rumors of an alleged rift between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni and the team’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja have been doing the rounds.

Both Dhoni and Jadeja are likely to be seen in action when CSK take on defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday, May 23.

The claims about all not being well between the two senior CSK cricketers began when a video of an animated chat between Dhoni and Jadeja went viral on social media. This was after Chennai’s 77-run win over Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, May 20.

While the victory confirmed CSK’s berth in the IPL 2023 playoffs, Dhoni and Jadeja were seen discussing what appeared to be something serious as they headed back to the dressing room.

No details have emerged about the chat yet, but social media was abuzz again after Jadeja posted a cryptic tweet just a day after CSK’s win over DC.

The 34-year-old took to his official Twitter handle and posted:

“Karma will get back at you, sooner or later it surely will.”

He shared the post with the caption “Definitely” and a thumbs up emoji. While the post made no mention about the viral video, many users felt that Jadeja was taking an indirect dig at his CSK captain.

The story did not end there. Jadeja’s wife Rivaba retweeted the cricketer’s post and shared a piece of advice, which read:

“Follow your own Path...”

She shared the caption with a folded hands emoji. Rivaba’s post fueled further controversy as fans began wondering if something had hurt Jadeja very badly.
