Australian batsman Shaun Marsh is set to join Kings XI Punjab today for the remaining matches in IPL 6. He has reportedly passed the fitness test in Australia on Friday after being out of action for almost two months. He was recovering from a ruptured hamstring tendon behind his right knee, which he picked while representing Australia A in February.

The dynamic left-hander, who was the orange cap winner in the first edition of IPL, is Kings XI Punjab’s best batsman so far with a century and the most number of fifties (13) to his name. He has also hit 223 boundaries for Punjab, which is the most by any batsman who played for the team. He also has the best average of 45.80 in the team. It is evident from the records that his arrival will prove to be a huge boost for the team.

“I’m feeling fit and healthy so I can’t wait to get back to playing cricket again and am really excited about the next five weeks in the IPL,” Marsh said in a media release.
