Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have thus far locked horns in 4 ODIs, with the island nation coming up victors in three of them.
The first ODI meeting between these two sides took place during an Asia Cup fixture in 2014, which Lanka won by 129 runs.
An year later, both sides squared off in Group-Stage fixture at the 2015 World Cup, and again, Sri Lanka emerged victorious by 4 wickets.
Afghanistan pulled off their maiden ODI win over the 1996 world champions during the 2018 edition of the Asia Cup.

The first meeting between these two sides took place during the 2016 edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, where Lanka emerged victors by 6 wickets.
Six years later, Afghanistan pulled one back as they routed the former T20 world champions by 8 wickets during the Asia Cup opener.
