Alex Albon is a Thai-British Formula 1 driver who drives for the Williams Formula 1 racing team. He was born on March 23, 1996, in London. Although Albon was born in the United Kingdom, he races under Thailand’s national flag. His introduction to motorsport is not new. He is the son of Nigel Peter Albon, an English racing driver who competed for Team Vertu in the Porsche Carrera Asia Cup.

Alex started his racing career with karting, and year by year, he climbed up the racing division hierarchy. Albon made his F1 debut with Toro Rosso in 2019, and after the second quarter of the season, he was promoted to Red Bull Racing. At Red Bull, he was partnered with Max Verstappen. Despite difficulties and a demotion to reserve driver, Albon returned to the Formula One grid in 2022 with Williams. For the 2025 season, he drives for the Williams F1 team alongside his new teammate Carlos Sainz Jr.
