Jack Doohan is an Australian Formula 1 driver who drives for the Alpine Formula 1 racing team for the 2025 season. He was born on January 20, 2003, in Gold Coast, Queensland. His racing career started in the karting arena at the age of nine. Doohan got the edge in his career when he graduated from Junior Formulae and moved to the F4 British Championship. With his talent and skills, he made his name for the F3 Asian Championship, driving for the Hitech Grand Prix.

In 2021, Doohan got the drive for the MP Motorsport racing team to compete in the 2021 Formula 2 Championship. He drove for three seasons, where he finished third in the championship. Mentored by Flavio Briatore, Jack Doohan got his first international break in F1 as a reserve driver for the Alpine team at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and was elected as the team driver for the 2025 season.

Jack Doohan has been announced as the current driver for the Alpine racing team in 2025, according to F1’s official website. The Australian-born rookie has been part of the French squad since 2022. However, there is a clause within his contract. The 22-year-old driver has signed for the 2025 season only and his contract extension will be primarily dependent on his performance on the racetrack. He will be one of the six rookies who make their full-time debut in Formula 1.
