Jack Doohan is an Australian racing driver who competes in Formula One for Team Alpine. Born on 20 January 2003, Doohan is the son of the five-time Grand Prix motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan. Jack Doohan’s racing days started when he was nine and began kart racing in a go-kart given to him by Michael Schumacher.
After winning several national titles and championships, Doohan graduated to junior formulae in 2018 and participated in the F4 British Championship. In the 2019-2020 F3 Asian Championship, Doohan finished as runner-up and moved to FIA Formula 3 in 2020, where he again finished as runner-up in the championship. After graduating to FIA Formula 2, Doohan bagged multiple wins in the 2022 and 2023 FIA Formula 2 seasons and finished third in the 2023 season. While competing in the FIA Formula 2, Doohan became a member of the Alpine Academy in 2022. He served as a reserve driver for Team Alpine in 2023 and 2024 and debuted at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, replacing Esteban Ocon.
