FC Barcelona close to signing Cesar Azpilicueta

Cadena Cope have claimed that Barcelona are making a big money move for Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta. The Spaniard was one of the best players in the Premier League last season which helped Chelsea to the league title. But with the arrival of Antonio Rudiger, his place in the team is under doubt which has made him think seriously about the interest from Barcelona. The Catalans are expected to move in for the utility man next week with Azpilicueta seeing this move as a stepping stone for a place in the starting lineup for Spain in next year's World Cup.

Real Madrid ready to sell Mateo Kovacic

According to London Evening Standard, Real Madrid have put up the Croatian midfielder for sale. Jordan Amavi fails a medical at Sevilla

Estadio Deportivo report that the Aston Villa full-back has failed a medical at Sevilla last night. Amavi was one of the best players for Aston Villa last season with Sevilla taking a keen interest in his form. But with a failed medical, the move is expected to be called off.
