Riyad Mahrez inching closer to AS Roma move

The Leicester Mercury has reported that want-away Foxes star, Riyad Mahrez is ready to take a pay cut in order to join AS Roma. Leicester want at least €55 million for the playmaker but Roma are not willing to pay more than €35 million for him. It is also being reported that Mahrez has made it clear to the Leicester management that he does not intend to stay at the King Power Stadium and wants the club to accept a bid from the Italian side.

Wojciech Szczesny arrives in Turin for his medical

Juventus have confirmed that the Arsenal custodian has arrived at their Vinovo training ground for his medical. Szczesny spent the last two seasons on loan at AS Roma where he impressed with his performances. Juventus see him as a backup for Gianluigi Buffon this season and also as his successor in the years to come. The 27-year-old will earn close to €100,000 per week with the Italian champions, with Arsenal receiving £8 million for their player.

Napoli reject a bid for Pepe Reina

The Daily Mirror has claimed that Napoli have rejected Manchester City's £2.6 million offer for Pepe Reina. It is being reported that Pep Guardiola wants a backup for Ederson with the Citizens ready to offload Claudio Bravo soon. The Naples side do not want to keep Reina against his wishes and will accept an offer of close to £5 million for the Spanish goalkeeper.
