Cristiano Ronaldo decides to stay with Real Madrid

AS has reported in an exclusive story that Cristiano Ronaldo has decided against leaving Spain this summer. The sudden change of heart took place after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez made his views about Ronaldo public.

Perez's comments have been taken well by Ronaldo. Ronaldo earlier wanted to leave Madrid because of his perception of an unfair treatment given to him by the Spanish media.

Lionel Messi wanted to join Manchester City

The tax fraud cases seem to come thick and fast from Spain at the moment. Lionel Messi was embroiled in it last year and an interesting story has emerged out of that case.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Lionel Messi wanted to leave Barcelona and had agreed to join Manchester City. The Citizens were ready to pay €150 million for Messi but Luis Suarez intervened and talked his teammate out.

Diego Costa still wanted by Atletico Madrid

Despite a transfer ban on the Colchoneros, they are ready to sign Diego Costa this summer who has fallen out of favour at Chelsea. The Mirror has reported that both the parties are working out a £50 million deal for Costa which will see him return to his former club.

But with the transfer ban still in order, the striker will have to sit out of action until January like Arda Turan did with FC Barcelona.
