As of November 2024, former Australian skipper Micheal Clarke has scored the highest individual score in the India vs Australia Tests. He scored a mammoth 329 not out in Sydney on January 3, 2012. Clarke is the first and only Australian batter to score a triple century against India in Tests. The second on the list is VVS Laxman, who scored an iconic 281 at the Eden Gardens on March 11, 2001. He is followed by Ricky Ponting who features thrice on this list, positioned at third with 257 runs, fourth with 242 runs, and ninth with 221 runs.

Former Indian great Sachin Tendulkar is enlisted in the fifth position with an unbeaten 241. He also features in the tenth position with a score of 214. The seventh on this list is Rahul Dravid (233), who is followed by MS Dhoni (224) and Justin Langer (223).
