Henrik Stenson, an excellent professional golfer from Sweden, is a shining star in professional golf. His victory at the 2016 Open Championship made him the first male Swede to win a major. He won 22 professional tournaments in his golf career, with amazing ball-striking and accurate swing. Henrik has played on the PGA Tour, European Tour and Sunshine Tour, among others, during his journey. Recently he has also played in the LIV Golf.

Throughout his successful career in golf, he has played with several caddies, like Fanny Sunesson, Gareth Lord and Scott Vail. All of his caddies have significantly impacted his notable achievements and success in the sport.

Henrik Stenson’s caddie

Currently, there is no full-time caddie for Henrik. But working with various well-known caddies in the past has contributed to his success. Here is some basic information about the previous caddies with whom Henrik worked:

Gareth Lord

Former amateur golfer Gareth Lord worked as Henrik Stenson's caddie in the year 2016 during Henrik's win in the Open Championship of 2016 at Royal Troon. He played a crucial role as Henrik’s caddie during this tournament, a major milestone for Henrik. Gareth is also a talented golfer. He played for the England Boys team during his amateur days as a golfer. Before becoming a caddie, he had also spent several months teaching in Germany. He is also known for achieving the "Caddie of the year 2008" title. The working bond between Gareth and Henrik had spanned many years. During those years, he provided his valuable strategy, advice, knowledge and support to Henrik, which improved his skills and techniques as well as his mental health during the events. The exact duration of their working together is unclear, but in about 2018 they took a break from their partnership.

Scott Vail

Scott joined Henrik in late 2018 after Henrik’s split with his previous caddie Gareth Lord. Scott caddied for him in only 6 golf tournaments and did not win any of those events. The working relationship between them didn't last long as Scott decided to quit his duty as a caddie for Henrik in early 2019 after the WGC-Mexico Championship.

Fanny Sunesson

Since parting ways with Scott, Henrik Stenson has had his friend Fanny Sunesson as his caddie. Before Henrik, Sunesson had worked with various high-profile players on the tour, like Nick Faldo, Martin Kaymer and others. In 2012, she retired from his caddie job but re-entered golf to work with her friend Henrik as his caddie in the 2019 Masters Tournament. Although they didn't win the championship, the duo continued to work together for several years and gained success on the course. The exact working period of Henrik Stenson and Fanny Sunesson is not so clear and there is no information available on the internet about this.

Henrik is also recognized for having temporary caddies throughout his career. But working with different highly respected caddies has positively affected his golf career and contributed to his success on the course.
