Rickie Fowler’s Driver
Fowler, a Cobra-Puma ambassador, recently got a new driver. He formerly used the LTDx LS model, but he is now using the more recent Aerojet LS model. His driver is equipped with a Mitsubishi Diamana Prototype 70 X shaft.
Fowler said in a statement at the time of the switch:
“I felt the numbers were a bit tighter from the low-to-top end of the face, not as spinny on some misses, and the spin didn’t drop too much on some higher-on-the-face hits. With that, a little tighter with dispersion, left and right. Then I actually went up about a half-degree (in loft) from where I was. The LS is a fairly low-spinning head, which has been great for me."
“Being able to go to something that has a little bit more loft, that can definitely help with the side-to-side dispersion, because once you go down to loft, you can get the ones that kind of squirt right or knuckle left. Loft is your friend if you can have it.”
Rickie Fowler’s Fairways
Fowler currently uses a few three-woods with various lofts to complement his driver. He switches between the two frequently.
The first is a Cobra Aerojet LS model, which has a loft of about 12.5 degrees, and the second is a Cobra LTDx LS model, which serves as his five-wood and has a loft of about 17.5 degrees.
Rickie Fowler’s Irons
Fowler is now using a set of the more recent Cobra King Tour irons. Fowler's set has KBS Tour shafts and ranges from a four-iron to a pitching wedge.
Curiously, he has historically made use of blade irons in his setup, but because of the modest cavity-backed design, these Tour irons provide a little bit more forgiveness in the head.
Rickie Fowler’s Wedges
Recently, Fowler also modified his wedge setup. He had been using three Cobra King 08 Versatile wedges with lofts of 50, 56, and 60 degrees in place of some Titleist Vokey SM8s.
Rickie Fowler’s Putter
Rickie was reportedly relying on a Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Prototype that was originally intended for Tiger Woods. For a while, he also added a Scotty Cameron GSS Prototype to the bag; however, an Odyssey Versa Jailbird mallet putter has since taken its place.
Fowler said in the beginning of 2023 that “I’ve been, over the last few years, not putting in how I’m used to or how I want to by any means." “Some of it, confidence wise, not having the same feel I’ve always had. The right hand, not making confident strokes. And I wasn’t necessarily searching. I’ve been grinding and working on my normal stuff.”
Rickie Fowler’s Golf Ball
Rickie had previously played with Titleist's Pro V1 ball, but since signing with TaylorMade, he will use the TP5x ball, which features a triangular Pix design.
Rickie Fowler’s Apparel
Rickie also sports Puma golf shoes and clothing because he is a Puma ambassador. The Puma Proadapt Alphacat, a reliable spikeless shoe that specializes in all-around grip and ankle support, is the specific shoe model he wears. Occasionally, he has also used the Puma Proadapt Delta golf shoes.
