How to do Short Trip Missions in GTA Online: A step-by-step guide (post-420 update)

The easiest way to access the Short Trip missions in GTA Online is via the Pause Menu. Here’s what gamers need to do to play these jobs and help Franklin and Lamar in Los Santos:

1. Open the Pause/Options Menu
2. Select the Online tab
3. Go to Jobs
4. Choose Play Jobs
5. Select the Rockstar Created option
6. Go to Missions
7. Scroll and select any of the listed Short Trip missions from there

This will automatically load the players into the mission lobby from where they can initiate it. A minimum of two players will be needed to start these special jobs. As of April 2024, three different Short Trips can be played.

Here’s a brief about each of those missions, all eligible for 2x cash and RP in this GTA Online 420 update event:

1) Short Trip – Seed Capital

In this mission, Lamar and Franklin go to LD Organics and restock their weed supply while DJ Pooh looks after his partners for them. However, as soon as they reach the location, the Vagos can be found raiding it. Now both of them need to fight off the enemies and get Lamar’s loaded Mule back from them.

2) Short Trip – Fire It Up

This mission starts with Lamar asking Franklin to assist him in attacking the Vagos’ weed storage location and destroying the goods as a payback for the raid that happened during the first mission.

3) Short Trip – OG Kush

The final mission makes Lamar and Franklin travel to meet Jimmy Boston. As they reach the destination, the Vagos storm the deal after finding the location due to a silly mistake made by Lamar. They must fight off the enemies once again and take the damaged weed van back to the city.

All of the aforementioned will still be playable after the 420 event ends on April 24, 2024. However, the double bonus period will end with the latest GTA Online weekly update.
