GTA 5 secures a spot in the top 5 PS4 and PS5 downloads for May 2025

The excitement among GTA fans has never been so high. GTA 5 Online is expected to get a brand-new Summer DLC very soon, and the sequel, Grand Theft Auto 6, will be released within a year. To no one's surprise, GTA 5 managed to secure a top-five position as one of the most downloaded PlayStation games last month (May 2025). The title dominated download rankings on both the PS4 and PS5.

It’s worth noting that May 2025 saw the release of Xbox’s Forza Horizon 5 on Sony’s hardware, and the game made the number-one spot among PS5 downloads. Read on to learn more about the rankings below.

GTA 5 surpassed downloads of Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered on PlayStation: Report

As can be seen in the aforementioned X post, PlayStation disclosed its May 2025 PS Store report on June 4, 2025. While new releases like Forza Horizon 5 topped the download charts, GTA 5 still managed to squeeze into the list of the five most downloaded titles on PS5 last month.
