Any Minecraft player knows how essential villages are in the game. They are usually filled with treasure to loot and natural resources to grab. Getting a spawn near a village right at the beginning of the game can be such a blessing. You can find chests full of armor, enchantment books, golden apples, obsidian, and even diamonds to help you with your game.

Seeds can be a great way to control where you spawn, which means that the use of the right seed can land you exactly where you will find a resource-rich village. In this article, we list out the five best Minecraft seeds that you can use to find the best villages.

While this Bedrock Edition seed doesn’t exactly have a huge volume of villages at its spawn, it does have a particularly appealing village. Once players spawn in, they only need to take a few steps forward to find a floating village within a water-filled valley. A ruined Nether portal also rests nearby on a cliff at (X: 24, Z: 152). Thanks to the water around the village, Minecraft players have some freedom to expand on the village as they see fit, as the surrounding tides are essentially a blank canvas in the valley. However, players will obviously have to find their building materials outside of the village for the most part.

For players who love a little conflict in their Minecraft worlds from the get-go, this Bedrock seed might satisfy. After spawning on top of a woodland mansions structure, players will likely notice the village buildings directly across from their position. Interestingly enough, a village rests on the cliff right next to the woodland mansion, complete with plenty of villagers who likely aren’t interested in getting too familiar with the pillagers within the mansion. However, if a player is willing to clear out the mansion on their own, they’d have a great place to stay as a new neighbor.

When Minecraft players spawn into this seed, they may not see anything particularly notable. However, if they’re willing to take a trip of a few hundred blocks from their spawn point, they’ll find a treasure trove of loot to enjoy. At the approximate coordinates of (X: -296, Z: 216), players will find a taiga village complete with seven total blacksmith shops. While the loot in these shops is randomized, it’s some of the highest-quality gear players can obtain early on in the game, making a player’s overall starting position in Survival Mode much easier to deal with. Furthermore, the location of the village itself makes it a fairly enticing place to build a shelter for the foreseeable future.

While finding unique or well-placed villages is all well and good, sometimes Minecraft players prefer a higher quantity of villages instead. This Java Edition seed can go quite a way in that regard, offering up four total villages that rest a short walk from the spawn point. Even better, players can find blacksmith shops for some quality early-game loot. Once players have checked out the villages, the mountain directly across from the spawn point also has an ancient city structure lurking underneath it.

For players who need exact coordinates, the following should suffice:

  • X: 80, Z: 176
  • X: 0, Z: -192
  • X: -416, Z: -224
  • X: -208, Z: 288
  • X: -248, Y: -51, Z: 88 (Ancient City 1)
  • X: -376, Y: -51, Z: -248

While villages are certainly fun to explore in Minecraft, there are plenty of terrain formations and specialized biomes worth checking out too. This seed exemplifies that by placing a cliff-based desert village near the spawn at (X: 144, Z: 32), which is flanked by a large cave system complete with a gorgeous lush cave biome. As players dig deeper into the cave network, they’ll also find other biomes, like a substantially large deep dark biome once players pass the height level Y=-51 threshold. Back on the surface, players can also spot a shipwreck near the sand-swept village at (X: 88, Z: 24).

One word of advice, however, is for players to watch their step when they spawn in. The spawn point is quite mountainous and treacherous and can lead to a bad fall rather easily compared to many Minecraft seeds.
