World of Warcraft: Dragonflight tier list - top Healer classes for Aberrus raid (10.1)

When you need to heal, these are the best options in WoW.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s healer classes are all exceptional. They all bring something unique to a battle and require different skill levels. While it’s more important to bring the better-skilled player than someone who simply plays a high-tier heal class, sometimes you must also consider the buffs, utility, and overall healer throughput that class brings to the table. This tier list is also likely going to evolve constantly, but this is what we’re looking at at the beginning of Aberrus in patch 10.1 of WoW.

This raid is just my opinion on what Aberrus’ healer class tier list looks like initially. Your particular experiences might vary, and that’s perfectly fine. If you're curious about which healers are the best, look no further.

Which are the best healer classes in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s Aberrus raid?

1) S-Tier classes

  • Discipline Priest
  • Holy Paladin

What a glow-up for Disc Priest as one of the top healer classes in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight! Discipline Priest wasn’t feeling so hot during 10.0, but after the release of patch 10.1, both have grown in popularity and power. This comes from their tier-set bonuses and general buffs to both classes. While Discipline Priest isn’t going to be amazing on every boss, its healing, shields, and outrageous damage output will make it worth carrying to a battle.

Holy Paladin, in general, has been amazing throughout the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion, and that hasn’t changed. As a healing class, it dumps plenty of damage and reliable heals throughout most fights. It’s not a complicated class, and Dragonflight has been kind to it.

2) A-Tier classes

  • Preservation Evoker
  • Restoration Shaman

A-Tier healer classes are still powerful and bring at least one incredibly useful thing to a raid. You’ll undoubtedly see one or two in each healer group throughout World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.

Preservation Evoker has Time Spiral, which can save many players in a pinch. It allows all players within 40 yards to cast their major movement ability, even if it’s on cooldown. There are plenty of situations where that will prevent players from being killed throughout the Aberrus raid.

Frankly, I’m not 100% on Restoration Shaman being A-Tier. I can see an argument for S-Tier, thanks to cooldowns like Spirit Link Totem on top of their solid heals and damage. I think Shaman was S-Tier in the previous content drop, but when it comes to Aberrus, I could see at least one in a raid configuration. Compared to the other top healer classes, the only thing they really lack is their passive damage is less satisfying.

B-Tier Classes

  • Restoration druid
  • Holy Priest
  • Mistweaver Monk

Just because a healer class is B-Tier doesn’t make them bad, not by a long shot. B-Tier typically lacks something in a heavier way than the other classes do - whether it’s utility, damage, or reaction effects, they are just missing something.

While Restoration Druids have been nerfed in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, they are still the best healer when you have to be mobile. They have so many HoTs that they can constantly move and help the team. On top of that, their DPS is expensive to use and doesn’t match up with the other healers.

I like Holy Priest, as they have excellent healing throughput. The numbers they can produce are excellent, but the downside to this healer class is that they have virtually no useful cooldowns or utility options. This means one Holy Priest is fine, but more than that is risky.

Monks just feel disappointing to me in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight - except for on the tank front. They are far from bad, though. They have several incredible cooldowns, like Invoke Yu’lon, the Jade Serpent, and Generous Pour. They’re just a bit of a niche pick, and depending on the skill level of the player, you might want one in your group.

This healer tier list could certainly be adjusted as the weeks and months go on and Aberrus, the Shadowed Citadel, gets explored. Player strategy and class balance will inform what healers are the strongest in WoW.
