Tyler Reddick's NASCAR championship loss

For several seasons, particularly when Reddick was in the initial stages of the Cup Series, he could not develop a rhythm and clinch top finishes. Particularly during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, Reddick could not qualify for the playoffs despite showing promise. He made it a very competitive year in 2023 when he came to a sixth overall finish but didn't qualify as a champion in going further back in the playoffs. Competition in the Cup Series means that drivers as capable as Reddick also lose races that keep him from being champion material234.
