The Great Khali, whose real name is Dalip Singh Rana is a former WWE Superstar and currently runs his own wrestling promotion in India called CWE - Continental Wrestling Entertainment. He is a former police officer working with Punjab Police.
The Great Khali has appeared in various movies in Bollywood as well as Hollywood.
Before joining WWE in 2006, Khali was also a part of World Championship Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling for brief periods of time. On 2 January 2006, Rana became the first Indian professional wrestler to be signed to a contract by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He was assigned to their developmental federation, Deep South Wrestling.
He debuted on the main roster in 2006 itself and ventured into a feud with the legendary Undertaker on SmackDown. It was during this feud that The Great Khali faced the Undertaker in the first ever Punjabi Prison match.
Great Khali became the first Indian to win the World Heavyweight Championship in 2007 and even had a grand celebration in his honor.
Khali's last appearance for WWE was in 2017 when he returned to WWE at Battleground as a heel to assist WWE Champion Jinder Mahal in a Punjabi Prison match for the WWE Championship by preventing Randy Orton from escaping the structure, allowing Mahal to escape and retain the title.
