Sean Michael Coulthard is an American professional wrestling commentator and journalist signed with WWE. He is currently a color commentator on SmackDown.

Professional Wrestling Career

WWE (1997-Present)

Coulthard entered the world of wrestling after being recommended by Todd Pettengill. He used the stage name, Michael Cole, and started working for the company. Cole has been an integral part of WWE and has several roles, such as backstage interviewer, commentator, and announcer. Cole has spent most of his time on the announcers' desk and worked for several brands, such as RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and NXT UK. Cole has also hosted and commentated on several significant shows, such as WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble.

In 2010-2012, Michael Cole was involved in a storyline with The Miz and Jerry Lawler, where he got physically involved. Cole was also the voice of the Anonymous RAW General Manager. At WrestleMania XXVII, Cole defeated Lawler via disqualification. The feud ended at Over The Limit when Lawler won. After the feud, Cole had a few matches but was not involved in any storyline with great capacity. Cole was often involved in altercations with superstars and entered the royal rumble frequently. Michael Cole is currently a color commentator on SmackDown with Pat McAfee.
