Niantic teased the Fire Mouse Pokemon was teased through a short clip that they posted on the game's official X channel. The devs are yet to reveal the complete details of the occasion.

Differing slightly from the monthly Community Day event, the Classic variant doesn't take place every month and focuses on pocket monsters that have already appeared in earlier CD events. For the June 2024 CD event, Niantic has already teased the Soft Tissue Gen VI Dragon-type Pokemon.

The six-second clip on X begins with the camera panning around a forest with a rock jutting out from the bottom of the frame. We catch Cyndaquil appearing for a split second beside the rock before disappearing. It finally then displays the flames spouting on its back to conclude the scene.

Introduced in Generation II, Cyndaquil is a Fire-type Starter Pokemon in Johto. It is also a Partner Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It made its debut in Pokemon GO in 2017, with both its shiny and shadow variants available in-game.

You can evolve Cyndaquil into Quilava with the help of 25 candies and then further into Typhlosion with 100 candies. There's no way to evolve Cyndaquil into Hisuian Typhlosion currently available in-game.

June 2024 will mark the first month of Season of Shared Skies, a new Pokemon GO season. While Niantic hasn't yet revealed all information regarding the same, the GBL move updates have been announced.

Furthermore, trainers will also see the return of Mega Rayquaza during Shared Skies.
