Adopt Me offers a diverse range of locations, shops, and pets for players to explore and interact with. While some of them, like the school and the pet shop, are permanent, others, like the Butterfly Sanctuary, only spawn for a limited time before they're removed. The developer added this location on June 6, 2025, allowing players to explore it.

Once you purchase a flower, it will automatically be equipped in your hand. If it doesn't, then simply open the inventory and click on the flower. Now, click anywhere on the screen when inside the Butterfly Sanctuary, allowing the flower to fly off from your hand and land anywhere in the garden.

Shortly, a bunch of butterflies will surround the flower, and one of them will be automatically tamed. Note that the game also equips the butterfly as your default pet, but you can later change this if you wish to.

Similar to any other pet, you must take care of your butterfly, meaning you must take it out on walks, feed it, and bathe it to keep it happy. Butterflies can also learn tricks, so make sure to visit the pet school.
