#1. Callum Ferguson
Callum Ferguson has taken over the mantle to be responsible for the batting order of the Syndey Thunder. He showed great results with the bat as well as a captain in BBL 2019/20 when they helped finish 3rd in the tournament. The 35-year-old will be crucial for the success of ST in BBL 10.
#2. Usman Khawaja
The southpaw opener Usman Khawaja has scored the most number of runs for Sydney Thunder in the history of the Big Bash League. The Thunder fans will be expecting a fruitful season from him to have higher chances of lifting the trophy for the second time. Khawaja will also have a point to prove to the national selectors after they left him out of the bilateral series against India.
#3. Ben Cutting
The Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting has it in him to be the MVP of BBL 2020/21 if he finds form. On his day, he can be pretty dangerous with both bat and ball and no opposition can prove too difficult for him. Cutting always brings in the X-factor into the side with his 4 consistent overs and electric fielding. He is certainly a player to watch out for whenever Sydney Thunder are in action.
#4. Sam Billings
Sam Billings missed Indian Premier League 2020 season and will be itching to make a mark in the tournament by getting some runs under his belt. The 29-year-old will have work cut out on the hard and bouncy pitches in Australia.
#5. Alex Hales
Last but not least is Sam’s national teammate Alex Hales. The England opener has impressed in the BBL in the previous edition. He top-scored for Sydney Thunder with as many as 576 runs in a single season. He too is keen to perform out of his skin to fight for a place in the England cricket team. The Sydney Thunder will be a dangerous side if Alex Hales is in form.
