Alise Willoughby is one of the most notable women’s BMX cyclists from the United States in present times. Notable for being a former state champion gymnast, and track and field athlete, she is the youngest person to be the winner of the American Bicycle Association National title when she was fifteen years old. Moreover, she is also the first woman who was voted as the Rookie Pro of the Year by BMXer Magazine in 2006.

Willoughby is a three-time Olympic BMX racer, having participated in the event in 2012, 2016 and 2020. She earned a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Willoughby has also participated in World Championships and has won seven medals in her career so far. Of these, she has two gold medals, three silver medals and two bronze medals. Alise Willoughby is married to Sam Willoughby, a former BMX cyclist from Australia. The documentaries 'Every Pedal With You (2015)' and 'Ride - A Brutal Fairytale (2022)' are based on their lives.
