A native of Long Beach, California, United States, his water polo career started at Huntington Beach High School, where he earned First Team D1 All-CIF-SS, First Team All-Sunset League, Sunset League Co-MVP, Orange County Player of the Year, and Daily Pilot Water Polo Dream Team honors.
Chase Dodd played college water polo for the UCLA Bruins men’s team at the University of California, Los Angeles, and won the MPSF All-Academic Team, All-MPSF, and ACWPC All-American honors from 2021-2023. Chase Dodd has also participated in the FINA Intercontinental Cup, becoming the MVP of the Gold Medal Match in 2022. He has also displayed his goalscoring skills at the FINA Intercontinental Cup in 2022 with 17 goals, the FINA World Championships in 2022 with 13 goals, the FINA World League Super Final in 2022 with five goals, the World Aquatics World Cup in 2023 with seven goals, World Aquatics World Championships in 2023 with three goals.
