
Hailing from Afton, Minnesota, Jessie Diggins is a cross-country skier who is training at the Stratton Mountain School in Vermont. With her versatile performance, she has emerged as a winner in three FIS Cross-Country World Cups. Diggins lifted her first World Cup title in 2020-21, thus becoming the first woman from America to lift the trophy. She suffered a foot injury at the beginning of 2025 but emerged as the winner at the 2024–25 FIS Cross-Country World Cup. During the 2023-24 World Cup, she won both the distance and the overall individual title.
Diggins was a top-ranked player in girls’ individual cross-country skier in the rankings of Minnesota High School. She won the title of the University State Ski Team in 2011. She reached the podium at the 2017-18 Tour de Ski, becoming the first American to have achieved this feat. Diggins broke the record for recording the most cross-country ski wins in a World Cup. In 2024, she received the Holmenkollen medal, which is the highest honour in Norwegian skiing. She completed her education at Northern Michigan University and was coached by Jason Cork as of June 2025.
