
Mary Tucker is an American sport shooter born on July 20, 2001, in Pineville, North Carolina. She started shooting in high school and in the early days, she used to train in her family’s garage. After High School, Tucker attended the University of Kentucky (UK). In 2021, she won the gold medal at the NCAA Championships in the 10m Air Rifle and 50m Smallbore and became the first University of Kentucky athlete to win gold in both events.
In her two years at the University of Kentucky, Tucker won multiple awards, including Rookie Shooter of the Year (as a freshman), and Athlete of the Year (as a sophomore). After two years at the University of Kentucky, she was transferred to West Virginia University. At West Virginia University, she was named 2023 CRCA and GARC Shooter of the Year.
After winning the NCAA Championships, Tucker competed in the 2021 ISSF World Cup, winning the gold medal in 10 10-metre air rifle. She also win the silver medal in the 10 metre air rifle team women, and a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team.
Tucker made her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games, winning the silver medal in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team, alongside Lucas Kozeniesky.
