Sara Hughes Siblings

Sara Hughes is an American professional volleyball player from Long Beach, California, representing the USA on international stages. She played college volleyball for the USC Trojans and turned professional in 2017. She earned All-American honors three times and won four national championships during her college career.

Sara Hughes has achieved various awards and titles in her volleyball career including the 2017 FIVB Top Rookie. Sara won a gold medal at the World Championships in 2023 and World Tour Finals in 2022. Sarah has won a total of 13 medals at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour including eight gold medals, one silver and four bronze medals. She also earned bronze medals at the FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 World Championships and the FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championships. Sara is all set to make her Olympic debut in the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Who are Sara Hughes’ Siblings?

Sara Hughes has two older siblings named Connor Hughes and Lauren Hughes. Both of her siblings played volleyball. Connor was a two-time NCAA Champion outside hitter at UC Irvine, and her older sister, Lauren, played volleyball at Fairfield. The Hughes siblings grew up in Costa Mesa, California, she often attended her siblings' practices and tournaments. Influenced by her older siblings, Sara Hughes started playing volleyball at the age of eight years. Connor and Lauren are no longer pursuing their volleyball career. Lauren has been married to Drew Micheal since 2017.

Sara Hughes was born to Laura Hughes and Rory Hughes. Her mother Laura Hughes is a former volleyball player, leading her three kids to volleyball careers. Her father Rory Hughes is a real estate broker. Rory was raised in La Canada. He studied Finance at California State University, Fullerton.
