Predicting the next set of Champions after WrestleMania 35

How long will Rollins hold on to the Universal Championship?
How long will Rollins hold on to the Universal Championship?

WrestleMania 35 is in the history books as we witnessed a thrilling show from the Metlife Stadium at New Jersey on 7th April 2019. The show is being considered as one of the better WrestleManias of recent times.

WrestleMania 35 saw a total of 8 Titles changing hands as many wrestlers got the opportunity to shine and have their WrestleMania moments, holding a championship high at the grandest stage of them all.

But as it's said - Getting to the top is easier, but staying on top is not. All these recently crowned champions will have to face new challengers who would want to take away their titles and become new champs. How long can these champions hold on to their titles, and who will dethrone them?

In this article, I'll predict the next set of Champions after WrestleMania 35. How many of these match with your predictions? Let me know in the comments section.

#10 Cruiserweight Champion: Drew Gulak

At WrestleMania 35, the premiere athlete, Tony Nese defeated the former Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy for the title in a fast-paced match.

Now the question is who would challenge him and take the title for him. My prediction would be Drew Gulak. The guy is an extremely versatile performer and a brutal technician.

Being a great performer and wrestler, Drew Gulak deserves a chance to shine and hence I believe he'll be the next Cruiserweight Champion.

#9 Women's Tag Team Champions: Kairi Sane and Io Shirai

Will we see the Sky Pirates debut next week on the main roster?
Will we see the Sky Pirates debut next week on the main roster?

The IIconics won the Women's Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 35, dethroning the former champions Sasha Banks and Bayley, along with 2 more teams in the match.

On the SmackDown after WrestleMania, Paige announced in a backstage segment that she will be bringing a team next week to compete and beat the IIconics. According to the rumors, this team would be none other than, The Sky Pirates: Kairi Sane and Io Shirai.

If they do turn up to the main roster next week, expect them to straightaway challenge The IIconics for the Tag Championship. I believe we'll soon see them as our Women's Tag Team Champions.

#8 SmackDown Tag Team Champions: New Day

Will The New Day get their hands on The SD Tag Team Championships?
Will The New Day get their hands on The SD Tag Team Championships?

Before we start with the prediction, please note that The Hardy Boyz defeated The Usos on the SmackDown after WrestleMania, making them the next champs after WrestleMania. So we will focus on who will beat them.

With Kofi winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35, The New Day is probably at the top of their career. Unfortunately, with Big E getting injured recently, they might not win the titles instantly, but a feud with The Hardy Boyz down the line would be amazing.

I'm expecting this to be The Hardyz' last Tag Title run and hence I believe they will hold the title for some time before New Day finally dethrones them.

#7 RAW Tag Team Champions: Ricochet and Aleister Black

These two have what it takes to revive this Tag Team division!
These two have what it takes to revive this Tag Team division!

Aleister Black and Ricochet have so soon made a huge place for themselves on the main roster, merely months after their debut.

At WrestleMania, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins became the RAW Tag Team Champions by defeating The Revival. With the main focus being on Hawkin's streak, I doubt they'll hold on to the title for long.

Black and Ricochet meanwhile, are crucial players for RAW's tag team division and hence I'll predict them to be the next RAW Tag Team Champions soon.

#6 United States Champion: Braun Strowman

Will Samoa Joe
Will Samoa Joe "get these hands"?

Samoa Joe squashed Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 35 in a minute to retain his United States Championship. At the subsequent SmackDown, Braun Strowman attacked him which pretty much made it clear that the Monster Among Men wants to get his hands on the US Title.

Strowman has not really had a great 2018, and him becoming the United States Champion would be a good start to his rise back to the top. Meanwhile losing to a worthy opponent like Strowman won't really bury Joe, as he can come out of it looking strong.

#5 Intercontinental Champion: Roman Reigns

Finn Balor defeated Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania to win his second Intercontinental title. In what should be a good reign, who could be the one to dethrone him?

Roman Reigns fought his first one-on-one match after his return at WrestleMania and defeated Drew McIntyre. Now he'll surely be pushed to the main event picture, but before that, a good Intercontinental Title reign would give him a good boost.

In my prediction, The Big Dog will defeat Balor to win the Intercontinental Championship. Though this should happen after some time to give Balor a good run with the title.

#4 SmackDown Women's Champion: Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans has been on the main roster for quite some time now. Finally, we got to see her get involved in some meaningful rivalry as she brawled with the current RAW and SmackDown Women's Champion, Becky Lynch.

Though they brawled on RAW, I believe Evans might be moving to SmackDown after the draft. She can still continue to feud with Becky though.

If the rumors are to be believed, WWE has big plans for her and all that could start with her taking the SD Women's Title from Becky. Of course, don't expect her to pin Becky clean, but she has a good chance of becoming the women's champion soon.

#3 RAW Women's Champion: Ember Moon

Next RAW Women's Champion?

Ember Moon made her return from injury at WrestleMania 35 where she competed in the Women's battle royal in the pre-show. While she did not win it, but her moves were highly applauded by the audience, especially the Eclipse.

Eclipse, in my opinion, is one of the best finisher currently on the main roster. With Ember back in action, it would be interesting to see how WWE books her.

Don't expect Becky to lose both the titles anytime soon, but whenever she does, my prediction is Ember Moon will become the new champ.

#2 WWE Champion: Finn Balor

In one of my previous articles, I've discussed how Finn Balor can turn heel and reunite The Balor Club to rule SmackDown in the near future.

At WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston made his and million other's dream come true by becoming the WWE Champion. It was a true WrestleMania moment to see a legend like him finally get what he deserves.

It would be tough for WWE to decide who should be the one to take the title off Kofi. For once, he'll surely have a long title reign, which could culminate at the hands of this man, Finn Balor.

Balor turning heel, challenging Kofi for the title and winning it would be epic and something no one would complain about.

#1 Universal Champion: Drew McIntyre

The Scottish Psychopath is on his way to the top of WWE!
The Scottish Psychopath is on his way to the top of WWE!

Seth Rollins slayed the Beast Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania to win the Universal Championship.

With him being the Universal Champion, the title would be defending way more often now, giving more superstars the opportunity to compete for it.

In my prediction, The Scottish Psychopath Drew McIntyre would be the one to end Rollins' reign as the Universal Champion. He did pin him a few weeks before WrestleMania on RAW, though with some help of a certain Beast Incarnate.
