Welcome to another edition of Sportskeeda's Daily WWE Rumor Roundup. The lineup for the day features all the biggest names from the company.

Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Vince McMahon and John Cena make it to today's roundup as part of various noteworthy stories.

The WWE boss didn't react favourably to a top Superstar's match on RAW and there are doubts backstage about said talent's WrestleMania push.

Vince McMahon also changed his mind about Goldberg after he was convinced by other officials backstage.

A big match from the upcoming Elimination Chamber PPV has been cancelled and the Superstars who were supposed to be a part of the bout were left surprised by the decision.

Brock Lesnar is also reportedly going the extra mile to put over a talented Superstar and that should please every member of the WWE Universe.

There was also an interesting backstage note about John Cena's willingness to get pinned by a Superstar.

Doesn't it seem like a stacked edition today? It sure does. On that note, let's take a look at each story in a detailed manner:

#5. Vince McMahon changed his mind about Goldberg

Goldberg is inarguably the biggest Superstar heading into WrestleMania 36 as the 53-year-old part-timer has the Universal Championship around his waist and is scheduled for a massive dream match against Roman Reigns.

The WWE Hall of Famer's return to the WWE has yielded remunerative outcomes for him, however, as revealed by Tom Colohue on Sportskeeda's Dropkick DiSKussions podcast to host Korey Gunz, Vince McMahon never really wanted to sign Goldberg.

Here's what Tom told Korey Gunz on the latest Dropkick DiSKussions episode:

Firstly I think it's interesting what you say about Goldberg being the big star in Vince's eyes. Vince McMahon originally never wanted to sign Goldberg for anything. He had to be convinced to bring him in from the days after WCW. He had to be convinced to bring him back. Goldberg is not one that Vince ever really felt an affinity to.

#4. Superstars surprised over the cancellation of Elimination Chamber match which Roman Reigns was supposed to win

The upcoming Elimination Chamber PPV was originally advertised to have a big six-man Chamber match to determine the #1 contender for the Universal Championship, and Roman Reigns was reportedly picked to be the winner of the match.

However, Vince McMahon changed the plans in a big way and decided to let Goldberg go over The Fiend and book Reigns in an angle against the former WCW Champion.

The Elimination Chamber match, which was slated to have Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, Robert Roode, Dolph Ziggler, King Corbin and Shinsuke Nakamura, was nixed as WWE had already reached the intended destination, which was to have Reigns vs. Goldberg at WrestleMania.

Tom Colohue revealed on the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast that the Superstars who were scheduled to be in the match were surprised by WWE's decision as they already knew their roles in the match.

First and foremost, it wasn't just a surprise for the fans, it was also a surprise to some of the wrestlers who were going to be in that match. It was not formally announced but the people who were going to be in that match were aware it was supposed to be happening and were aware of how they were going to be used. So it was a surprise to a lot of the individuals there.

#3. John Cena wanted to be pinned by Bray Wyatt

John Cena is set to return to in-ring action at WrestleMania 36, where he will take on The Fiend in one of the marquee matches of the show.

Cena has faced Wyatt a few times before in his career and the Cenation Leader was the man who Wyatt pinned to win his first WWE title at Elimination Chamber in 2017.

Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue spoke about Cena's opinion of Wyatt and how the 16-time World Champion told the company to let Bray pin him in the match.

Cena also pushed for the company to book a rematch on the SmackDown episode after Elimination Chamber 2017, and he was pinned yet again by Wyatt.

John Cena has gone on record a couple of times and it's been mentioned to me a couple of times, when it comes to the Elimination Chamber when Bray Wyatt initially became WWE Champion, John Cena really wanted to be pinned by Bray Wyatt. He then wanted his rematch the very next, well not the next night, sorry it was two nights because it was RAW and SmackDown which was on Tuesday at that time.
He wanted that rematch against Bray Wyatt to once again take the pin, and AJ Styles was added to that match and Luke Harper attacked Bray Wyatt before the match to really amp it up. John Cena is one person in that locker room who genuinely believes in Bray Wyatt. So I'm confident that he wanted to come back as it were to right a bit of a wrong and help rebuild Bray Wyatt. To help build Bray Wyatt.

#2. Backstage reaction to Shayna Baszler's RAW debut

Shayna Baszler had her first match on RAW against Kairi Sane this week and despite the earnest efforts of both the Superstars, the match failed to get the desired reaction from the WWE Universe.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there was a lot of uncertainty regarding Vince McMahon's backstage reaction to the match.

Shayna Baszler didn't come off looking like a WrestleMania headliner and that concerns the WWE officials.

There was negativity and uncertainty regarding McMahon’s reaction to Baszler’s match with Kairi Sane on Raw not getting the desired reaction and Baszler not coming off like a WrestleMania headliner.

The Queen of Spades was previously announced for a match against Asuka on this week's RAW, however, the Japanese Superstar was removed from the match due to a wrist injury.

While Kairi Sane seemed to be an apt replacement, the match may have gone a little too long and the live audience wasn't invested in the in-ring action.

Becky Lynch being in the commentary booth didn't help either as the angle felt flat.

Despite the disconcerting opinion backstage, WWE is still going ahead with the Baszler vs. Lynch match for the RAW Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36.

#1. Brock Lesnar wants to put Drew McIntyre over

Brock Lesnar's WrestleMania programme with Drew McIntyre is as hot as WWE wants it to be and that's majorly due to the well-booked segment on RAW.

The Royal Rumble winner destroyed the WWE Champion with three Claymore kicks and the fans naturally went ballistic.

Lesnar was also seen telling McIntyre to pick up the WWE title belt and lift it in the air, a moment that has gotten the fans talking about Lesnar's efforts towards making McIntyre look good in the angle.

The solid RAW segment was discussed on the latest edition of the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast with Tom Colohue and Korey Gunz.

Tom stated that it's easy to conclude that Lesnar and McIntyre have immense respect for each other. He added that Lesnar is invested in the ongoing angle and is focussed on putting over the Scottish Psychopath to the best of his ability.

In addition to that, when you hear the crowd chanting one more time, Brock Lesnar heard it, Lesnar got up. He showed for it. Lesnar is doing everything he can to put Drew McIntyre over and he's been doing that since the Royal Rumble match.
Brock is really invested in this and it's great to see. It really shows the amount of respect between the two men and it really shows how good a match we're going to get.
