The top-notch professional baseball league in the United States and Canada is Major League Baseball (MLB). They originally operated under the American League (AL) and the National League (NL). The two leagues merged under the MLB organization in 2000. Since then, MLB has continued to supervise the games of all the thirty teams in the league, out of which twenty-nine are from the United States and one is from Canada.
The MLB teams compete with each other throughout the regular season and the postseason to become the MLB champions every year. Twenty-five teams in the league have already been successful in becoming the champion once or more times. However, the remaining five teams are yet to achieve the championship. The Texas Rangers serve as the current MLB champion, having finally achieved their goal in the 2023 MLB season. The 2024 MLB season will also lead to one team becoming the MLB champion like its predecessors.
