Black Ops 7 has finally been confirmed and was officially revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. A three-minute-long trailer for the game has been released, showcasing some cinematic campaign moments and brief glimpses of the other elements that the game will introduce.

Despite its short runtime, the trailer is packed with subtle hints that may reveal key details about the game’s core modes. If you missed them, don’t worry, as this article provides five details that you might have overlooked during the Black Ops 7 reveal.

Note: Certain aspects of this article are purely speculative and should be taken with a grain of salt for the time being.

Black Ops 7 reveal trailer: Five things you might have missed

Black Ops 7 is set in the year 2035, where the world has gone into chaos due to psychological warfare following the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. The game will feature cutting-edge futuristic technology, with David Mason as the main protagonist, facing off against a manipulative enemy.

Here are five details you might have missed during the reveal trailer.

1) Potential Warzone map

Before discussing this point, it’s important to note that this is purely speculative, as there has been no official backing. In the final moments of the trailer, a brief clip shows four players dropping into a map, possibly Avalon. Since four Operators are dropping together, this could potentially be the upcoming Warzone map arriving with Black Ops 7.

However, since BO7 is also introducing a co-op campaign for the first time, this particular clip may be from that mode instead.

2) Tranzit may return in Zombies

The trailer also briefly teased Zombies. In a short scene, a group of zombies stands still until a pair of headlights suddenly turns on, and they turn toward the light. If you look closely, the headlights appear to be coming from a bus, hinting at a possible return of Tranzit.

3) New Multiplayer maps

The developers have confirmed that Black Ops 7 will feature several brand-new Multiplayer maps. One potential map may have been teased in the trailer, which shows a futuristic aircraft approaching a coastal mansion surrounded by water. This place could be one of the fresh additions coming to the Multiplayer experience.

4) The return of Raul Menendez

One of the most surprising moments in the trailer is the appearance of Raul Menendez, a character presumed to be dead. As one of the franchise’s most iconic villains, seeing him again was unexpected.

However, there might be more to this than meets the eye. According to the official blog post, you will be facing a "manipulative enemy who weaponizes fear above all else." This opens up the possibility that Menendez’s return could be psychological rather than literal, potentially a manifestation of David Mason’s fear.

5) Milo Ventimiglia as David Mason

David Mason is the protagonist of Black Ops 7, and in the reveal trailer, you see him from the very beginning. However, what many viewers might have missed is that he’s portrayed by American actor Milo Ventimiglia in the upcoming Black Ops title.
