Call of Duty Black Ops 7 revealed at Xbox Games Showcase

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has been revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. For all fans of the franchise, the upcoming Call of Duty title has been confirmed to be Black Ops 7, a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 (2012) featuring David Mason and one of the most iconic antagonists in the series, Raul Menendez. The game is set to release later this year.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 teaser trailer revealed at Xbox Games Showcase

Activision just unveiled its upcoming Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, at the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. The teaser trailer gave us a peek into the plot of the game's Campaign. We're introduced to an android from a faction called the 'Guild', welcoming David Mason to their midst.

Soon, David starts to hallucinate in typical Black Ops fashion and finds himself in alternate dark realities. Next, we are shown the iconic CIA interrogation room where they held Alex Mason and the famous 'numbers' sequence. Right after the scene, we are introduced to Raul Menendez, the villain from Black Ops 2, who is also returning as the main antagonist in Black Ops 7.

After this scene concludes, we're shown a brief gameplay from the battle royale and the Zombies modes. Needless to say, the game is futuristic and will involve warfare with robots leading the battle. Moreover, players can expect equipment involving futuristic tech, such as the ability to become invisible like in Black Ops 2.
