Alongside the many new gameplay adjustments in Black Ops 6, such as the Omnimovement system, one that stands out is that Overkill no longer applies by default. The integration of Black Ops 6 into Warzone has introduced new content and changes that affect perks, weapon loadouts, and gameplay strategies. In previous Call of Duty games, Overkill was a go-to-perk that allowed you to carry two primary weapons.
However, after the Black Ops 6 integration, Overkill is now a Wildcard that you must equip manually. In this guide, we walk you through how to unlock and use Overkill in Warzone’s new Black Ops 6 era.
How to use Overkill in Warzone after Black Ops 6 integration
To unlock Overkill, you must first grind your way to level 24 in the game. Until then, you are restricted to one primary weapon unless they rely on other loadout perks or equipment.
Here’s how to unlock Overkill in Warzone:
- You will have to play through Battle Royale or Black Ops 6 multiplayer matches to reach Level 24. After the integration, both modes will contribute to progression, so choose your preferred playstyle for grinding experience points.
- Once you’ve reached level 24 and unlocked Overkill, head to the loadout customization menu in Warzone and select Overkill as your Wildcard.
- However, note that after you activate Overkill, it will consume one Wildcard slot, meaning you’ll need to sacrifice other options, such as Gunfighter for additional attachments or Battle Ready for a free UAV.
- If you use Overkill, it means you have to give up Gunfighter, which allows for eight attachments on one primary weapon.
- And with Warzone now integrated with Black Ops 6’s classic Prestige system, Overkill and other Wildcards will reset once you reach Prestige.
- However, if you only want to use Overkill, you can use a Prestige Token to unlock it permanently, ensuring it remains available each season.
Whether you’re unlocking Overkill for the first time or adjusting your loadouts to maximize its benefits, remember to stay updated on weapon balancing and the latest meta loadouts.
