Some Call of Duty fans have been wondering since yesterday (November 2, 2024) whether the latest 2XP weekend in Black Ops 6 is real. This is because they haven't been getting the double XP they deserve. Finally, Call of Duty has acknowledged that there was an issue that limited the 2XP players got. On their official X account, the developers stated:

"Last night, we identified and resolved an issue that occasionally limited the amount of 2XP awarded to some players."

This indicates that some players did not actually earn the right amount of 2XP while playing the game. Now, Treyarch has extended the 2XP weekend as a reward for those who didn't get as much XP as they should have due to the issue.

COD devs fix the 2XP issue in Black Ops 6 and extend the date

Treyarch has now extended the 2XP weekend in Black Ops 6, and players will be able to earn 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, as well as 2X GobbleGum for free until November 5, 2024, at 10 am PT.

Initially, the 2XP weekend in Black Ops 6 was slated to end on November 4, 2024, at 10 am PT. But because of the 2XP problem in Black Ops, some players haven't been getting the XP they deserve. Foruntately, Treyarch has finally acknowledged the issue and stated:

"Last night we addressed an issue that occasionally limited the amount of 2XP awarded to some players as we continue to assess and balance progression tuning. As a result, we are extending 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X GobbleGum earn rate until Nov. 5th at 10 am/PT."

Content creators like @IceManIsaac took to X, stating that the XP gained from playing did not feel like 2XP at all. He also wondered if there was an XP cap in the game. Several other content creators in the same thread acknowledged the issue.

Treyarch's eventual reply proved their suspicions to be partially correct. There was no XP cap in the game, but the issue was real, and now it has been fixed by the developers.
