Neither Blackout 2 nor Avalon in Warzone, teased map in Black Ops 7 trailer is reportedly something else

Call of Duty has already surprised the community by dropping the Black Ops 7 teaser out of nowhere in Xbox Games Showcase 2025. While the reveal was a banger, and we are getting a futuristic Call of Duty after years, there is one small tease that sparked a new debate.

Just for a second, the teaser showed players dropping to a big map, which looked similar to the leaked Warzone map Avalon.

While some fans in the community wondered whether that was a tease to a new Blackout game or how Warzone will look after Black Ops 7 release, the reality is something else. Read on to learn more about the tease shown in the Black Ops 7 trailer.

What is the teased map in Black Ops 7 trailer? Insider reveals new information

According to popular Call of Duty insider @TheGhostOfHope, the shot is indeed the leaked Avalon map, but not from Warzone. The gaming behemoth has already announced that Black Ops 7 will receive a co-op campaign like Black Ops 3. The insider believes that the shot in the teaser is from the same campaign, which is set in Avalon.

Previously, there were several leaks about Avalon being the latest Warzone map. However, in the state Warzone is in right now, everyone is worried about the game's future, and it can't be said with certainty whether Activision will push a brand new battle royale map for the game or not. However, a previous leak indicated that Avalon is still in development, but it was canned for Battle Royale.

The insider further explains the tease could also be from the Outbreak Zombies mode that was leaked previously. Currently, we know very little about Black Ops 7 except the fact that it's set in the year 2035, and the game is a direct sequel to the iconic Black Ops 2.

The latest teaser has shed some light on how the game will look, and with futuristic devices, we are probably getting something fresh after years. There is also the rumor of wall-running coming to the game as well.
