
Connor Essegian is an American basketball shooting guard who has transferred to Nebraska Cornhuskers after playing just two seasons with the Wisconsin Badgers. He began playing high school basketball at Central Noble High School where he finished as the No.10 in the all-time scoring list in the state of Indiana. During his senior year, he led his school to the Class 2A state basketball title game and concluded the year averaging 26.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. Essegian concluded his prep career as one of the prolific scorers with 2,526 career points for Central Noble. Essegian led them to its first NECC Tournament title in 50 years during his sophomore year and scored a total of 648 points during the campaign.
Following his illustrious prep career, Essegian began his collegiate basketball journey with the Wisconsin Badgers over offers from Creighton, Illinois State, Minnesota, Ball State, Toledo and many more. He played in all 35 games during his freshman campaign and averaged 11.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. Last season, Essegian found himself on the periphery and did not start a game. He averaged only 3.2 points per game despite playing an average of 7.3 minutes in all 33 games. After a disappointing sophomore year with Wisconsin, Essegian decided to transfer to Nebraska with two years of eligibility remaining.
