American college women's basketball player Kennedy Townsend is a guard for Creighton Bluejays, a team that competes in Big East Conference of the NCAA Division I. She is in her junior year as of March 2025 as per her roster profile on Creighton University Athletics website.

During her freshman season in the 2022-23 year, Townsend started in 30 games and competed for 250 minutes and recorded 61 points. She also bagged 25 rebounds, 16 assists and one block with three steals in the season. She collected four assists in 16 minutes and led Creighton to win over Omaha. Townsend further registered a career-high nine points in 19 minutes at St. John's.

As a sophomore in the following year, Kennedy competed in 31 contests and ended the campaign by scoring 123 points, 74 rebounds with 29 assists. In Creighton's season-opening win against North Dakota State, she managed to register at least eight points and four rebounds. She scored 14 points and six rebounds in the team's win against St. John's, and tagged it as her best game for Bluejay. She recorded six points and six rebounds with two assists and played for a career-high 28 minutes on the floor in a win at Georgetown.
