Kimberly Duane Mulkey has turned out to be one of the most successful head coaches in women’s college basketball games under NCAA Division I. As the present head coach of the LSU Lady Tigers, she became the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament Champion in 2023.

Kim Mulkey has been a former women’s college basketball player for the Louisiana Tech Lady Techstars. She became the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament Champion with her team in 1982.


She started her head coaching career with the Baylor Lady Bears of the Big 12 Conference in 2000/01 season and continued in the role till the 2020/21 season. Du8ring that time, she became a three-time NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament Champion in 2005, 2012 and 2019. She is also a seven-time Big 12 Coach of the Year and two-time WBCA Coach of the Year.

Mulkey started coaching the LSU Lady Tigers of the Southeastern Conference in the 2021/22 season and has proven to be successful in her role. She became a Basketball Hall of Famer in 2020.

Kim Mulkey started her career as the head coach with the Baylor Lady Bears in the 2000/01 season. She had been with the team till the 2020/21 season and has won the National Championship thrice during her tenure. Her win-loss record with the team is 632-104 as per Sports Reference.
