Kiyomi McMiller plays collegiate basketball as a guard for the Penn State Lady Lions. McMiller completed her freshman year with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in the 2024-2025 season. She transferred to the Lady Lions for the 2025-26 season, per the official Penn State website.

For the Scarlet Knights, Kiyomi McMiller made more than 30 points in three games and more than 20 points in seven games, totaling 393 points, 98 rebounds, and 63 assists in 21 games as a freshman. Her honors and accolades include being named Big Ten Freshman of the Week twice and Postseason All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the media.

McMiller played her first two seasons of high school basketball at Trinity Collegiate School in Darlington and her final two seasons at Life Center Academy in Burlington. Upon the completion of her high school basketball career, she was a five-star recruit, ranked 22nd in the nation by espnW. McMiller chose the Scarlet Knights over LSU and others. She became the first-ever athlete to sign an NIL deal with Jordan Brand and participated in the Jordan Brand Classic held on April 21, 2023, according to the official Rutgers website.
