Teonni Key is a collegiate basketball player and as of January 2025, she plays as a forward for the Kentucky Wildcats. According to her college roster, she attended Cary High School. Teonni was selected for both the 2021 McDonald's All-American Girls Team and the Jordan Brand Classic 2021 Girls National Team. As per her college roster, she was ranked as the ninth-best player according to the ESPNW class of 2021. According to her college roster, during her high school, she was a starter for all four years and was chosen for the All-Conference team. Teonni made the second-team all-state, was named team MVP in his junior year, and was named all-district in his sophomore year. She was named to the academic Athletic Honor Roll all four years. After graduating from high school, Key committed to play college basketball at University of North Carolina. After sustaining a torn ACL in his knee during a preseason scrimmage in late October, Teonni missed the whole freshman season. She participated in 28 games and started one as a redshirt freshman. According to her college roster, she averaged 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds. In her first game of the season, she scored a career-high 13 points against S.C. State. Teonni played in 23 games as a redshirt sophomore, averaging 2.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Due to a lower-body ailment, she missed the season's first ten games. In the NCAA Tournament victory over Michigan State, she pulled down seven rebounds, including four offensive rebounds.
