Tyler Wahl NIL deal

Tyler Wahl is a forward who plays basketball for KK Zadar in the Premijer Liga (Croatian basketball league) and the ABA League. He played collegiate basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers of the Big Ten Conference.

Wahl was born in Lakeville, Minnesota, and went to Lakeville North High School. In his junior year, Wahl averaged 17.5 points (63.1% FG), 12.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.9 blocks per game. As a senior, he averaged 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game. He was selected to the AP second-team all-state team twice in a row as a junior and senior. Wahl was also chosen as a finalist for Minnesota's Mr. Basketball contest. As a freshman, Tyler Wahl played in all 31 games, including three starts, and averaged 2.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He played in all 31 games, including 18 starts, and averaged 5.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game during his sophomore campaign.

Tyler Wahl averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while playing in 32 games as a junior. In addition, he was the team's second-leading blocker (25), and its top stealer (37) as well. He was one of 20 candidates for the 2023 Julius Erving Award, which is presented to the best small forward in the nation. As a senior, he scored 11.3 points and pulled down 6.3 rebounds a game, starting all 32 of his games. At an average of 2.5 assists per game, he too finished with 81 assists.

According to On3, Tyler Wahl has NIL deals with Next Gen Camps, Pepsi, Brew City Battle, Wings Over, and Varsity Collective. However, the amount involved in the deal isn’t available on On3.

In September 2022, Wisconsin reopened its Varsity Collective with the goal of offering NIL opportunities that emphasize life experiences. The collective received a lot of support when it first began in June 2022. The initial campaign was mostly supported by mega-donor Ted Kellner and former Wisconsin quarterback Brooks Bollinger.
