Dylan Edwards is an American college football player who is regarded as one of the fastest running backs in college football. Edwards attended Derby High School where he was a four-year letterman and won Kansas State 6A championships as a freshman and junior. Edwards was rated as one of the top running backs in the class of 2023 and was deemed as the top prospect in the state of Kansas. In his four-year career with Derby, Edwards rushed 622 times for 6,426 yards and 95 touchdowns. Edwards was named the Kanas Gatorade Player of the Year as a junior after he led the Panthers to an 11-1 record and a third consecutive appearance in the state championship game. The four-star running back from Derby began his collegiate football career with the Colorado Buffaloes despite holding offers from several Division I school like Arizona State, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Notre Dame, and Oregon.

In his freshman season, Edwards enjoyed a breakout campaign with Colorado as he was the first freshman in the program’s history with more than 250 rushing and passing yards in the same year. But Edwards who decided to return to his home state and sign with Kansas State Wildcats in April 2024 will have three years of eligibility remaining. During his lone season in Boulder, Edwards played in all 12 games and recorded 321 rushing yards on 76 carries along with 36 catches for 299 yards and four touchdowns. Edwards brings both speed and versatility in the K-State offensive line.
