Jaheim Thomas is an American linebacker who recently moved to Wisconsin Badgers to play his final season of college football. Thomas started playing high school football career at Princeton High School and was the fifth-rated player in Ohio in the 2020 recruiting class. As a senior, Thomas registered 73 total tackles with 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception. The Cincinnati native was rated a four-star recruit and the No.22 outside linebacker in the nation. Coming out of high school, Thomas received a total of 32 offers but the long list was eventually whittled down to Cincinnati Bearcats where he would start his collegiate football journey. He held offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and LSU among several other Division 1 programs.
The four-star linebacker saw action in only four games in his freshman year and redshirted the season. The following seasons as a redshirt freshman, Thomas appeared in 12 games and recorded 23 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a quarterback hurry. Thomas exploded onto the scene for the Bearcats in 2022 when he tallied 70 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks while appearing in all 13 games. After three seasons with Cincinnati, Thomas entered the transfer portal to join the Arkansas Razorbacks. Thomas saw action in all 12 games and led the Hogs with 90 total tackles while adding 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. In 2024, Thomas announced he would transfer to Wisconsin Badgers to play his final season of college football under former coach Luke Fickell.
