White started his high school career at Clay-Chalkville High School where he led the team to an Alabama 6A state football championship and a 15-0 record in his senior year. He concluded his senior year with 49 receptions on 1,162 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns. White was rated a four-star prospect and the No.7 overall player in the state of Alabama by 247Sports. The three-star attacker from Clay started his collegiate football journey with Tennessee Volunteers despite getting poached from top programs like Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, Alabama, Michigan, Ole Miss, Clemson, and South Carolina.

In his freshman season, White saw action in 12 games mostly as a return specialist, and averaged 16 yards a catch in 2022.
