Finch has been always in demand due to his hard-hitting abilities

The Delhi Daredevils have never been able to finish in the top four positions since the 2012 edition of the IPL.

They have always put a strong squad on paper but lacked a perfect leader ever since Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag moved to other franchises.

However, they have managed to bring the local boy Gambhir back this season. Delhi Daredevils also have produced some remarkable players over the years who are one of the most sought ones currently.

Had they managed to keep some players back, they could have managed to finish in a better position. We will look at the players who Delhi Daredevils regret selling.

#10 Marcus Stoinis

The Aussie all-rounder is known for his magnificent knock of 146* against New Zealand which helped Australia to chase a massive target of 287.

Ever since this knock, he has been able to cement his place in the limited overs squad.

He is better known as a finisher in the shortest format of the game. He can be very effective in bowling during the middle overs.

Although he is not a wicket-taking bowler, he can reduce the run rate of the opposition and is also a very economical bowler.

He was bought by the Delhi Daredevils for the 2015 edition of the IPL. He wasn't given a single chance to prove his mettle during his time at the Delhi Daredevils.

He was bought by the KXIP during the 2016 IPL auction.

His performances are very eye-catching as he has scored 146 runs from seven innings with a staggering average of 36.50 and also has eight wickets to his name.

He was brought back by the KXIP for a hefty sum of 6.2 crores after intense bidding between the Rajasthan Royals and the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

He would have perfectly matched Delhi's plans as Delhi's search for an all-rounder has never ended. Delhi Daredevils will have surely regretted selling him.
