His captaincy skills have never been under any doubts as he has brought heavy success to any team he has been a part of. His wicket-keeping skills make his value to any team much more. He has always been a top wicket-keeper captain.

His batting has struggled lately and with his age now somewhat becoming an issue, there is some possibility that he might retire from cricket after representing his nation in the upcoming World Cup.

If he does retire, chances are this could very well be his last IPL season too and if there is any truth in this narrative, he would love to leave this league with another IPL trophy and would also want to secure his place in the history of IPL by becoming the first captain to ever win 4 IPL titles ever.
