#1 Loss of form of players

All the players bought by RCB have unfortunately lost form after the selection.
All the players bought by RCB have unfortunately lost form after the selection.

Say it a curse or a bad coincidence for RCB, but whichever player they have bought, has always lost his form. This has been one of the biggest factors for their consecutive bad performances.

Let us try to understand this through an example. Washington Sunder, who was fantastic for Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017, was bought by RCB in 2018. But his performance declined drastically with RCB. In 2017, he took eight wickets in 11 matches and had an economy of 6.16 even after he used to bowl three of his overs in the powerplay. But that rose to 9.6 in 2018. So bad were his performances, that the management was forced to drop him from the team.

Not only for Sunder but the case has been the same for most of the RCB players, including Yuzuvendra Chahal, Quinton de Kock and even Chris Gayle.

Take the examples of CSK and MI, who have won three titles each and are the most successful IPL teams. Their team has always been consistent, the players have delivered whenever needed. But, the case has not been the same with RCB.
