Ishan Kishan was the captain of the Indian U-19 team which took part in the 2016 edition of the U-19 Cricket World Cup. He was one of the two wicketkeepers in the squad, the other being Rishabh Pant.

Rishabh Pant showcased his talent early on in Ranji and IPL which generated a hype around him as MS Dhoni's successor. His attacking batting helped him rise through the ranks to represent India in all the 3 formats at the beginning of his career.

On the other hand, equally talented Ishan Kishan is slowly creating a name for himself in the domestic circles. The Jharkhand player had a decent IPL with Gujurat Lions before becoming a regular in Mumbai Indians playing XI in IPL 2018. He was a revelation in this year's domestic 50-over competitions which has put him in the radar of the national selectors.

With both MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik on the wronger side of age, Kishan and Pant could be the wicketkeeping options for India in the future. Kishan has opened the innings for his teams before which could help his case.

Ishan Kishan has high chances of making his India debut next year with such an impressive portfolio.
