Mustafizur started off the campaign brightly but faded away badly as the season progressed. The Bangladeshi pacer looks to have lost a yard of pace and his death bowling prowess seems to have declined as well. Batsmen have been able to pick his variations with ease and deposit him in the stands far too often.

Mustafizur picked up just 7 wickets in 7 games this season at an economy of 8.36 and he was unable to get a breakthrough in Mumbai's all-important game against Delhi.

The Rohit Sharma-led side are unlikely to persist with him come IPL 2019.
